Vintage figurines represent a Jewish couple, commonly referred to as "Bubbe" (grandmother) and "Zeyda" or "Zaidy" (grandfather). Collectible pieces of Judaica folk art that were manufactured in the United States around the late 1930s to 1940s by the Syracuse Ornamental Company, known as Syroco.

While they appear to be hand-carved wood, they are actually made of "Syroco wood," a molded material composed of wood pulp and resin designed to resemble traditional wood carvings.

The woman is depicted wearing a headscarf (babushka) and a red apron, while both figures are carrying a siddur (holy book) on their way to synagogue.

Approximately 5 5/8” tall by 2 1/2” wide and 2 1/2” deep.

Fair vintage condition. Some damage to the wood. Due to their age and material, it is common to see signs of wear, such as paint chips or fading.

Please look carefully at the photos.
