Midcentury brass Hamsa, also known as the Hand of Fatima, is widely recognized as a sign of protection against the "evil eye" and is believed to ward off negative energy.

Inscribed with the word Jerusalem and an image of a fish. In Jewish tradition, fish are considered symbols of fertility and luck, and because they live underwater, they are thought to be immune to the "evil eye".

Adorned with colorful enamel and painted floral motifs.

In Judaism, it also serves as a reminder to praise God with all five senses.

Hamsas are commonly used as wall hangings, tabletop decor, or decorative dishes for small items like jewelry. Can be displayed either hanging on the wall (has a hook on the back) or standing on the easel.

Approximately 5” long by 3” wide and 1/2” deep.

Excellent vintage condition.
