Hand made Vintage Moroccan Judaica Hamsa Hand Fatima Amulet Golden Color With Semi Precious Crushed Stone And Magen David Talisman Protection
The hamsa, khamsah, khmissa, khomsa or tafust (ⵜⴰⴼⵓⵙⵜ in Berber languages) is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout North Africa and in the Middle East and commonly used in jewelry and wall hangings. This apotropaic symbol is believed to come from Tanit, a berber goddess. Depicting the open right hand, an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history, the hamsa is believed by north africans and middle easterners, to provide defense against the evil eye. The hamsa holds recognition as a bearer of good fortune.
