This vintage "Khmissa" plaque was hand made by Moroccan Jewish coppersmiths.
The "Khmissa" is a symbol used as an amulet to protect against the evil eye.
"Khamsa" means "5" in Arabic and in Hebrew, referring to the five fingers of the hand.
Carved Hebrew inscription and floral motifs adorn this silver plated wall hanging. Leather backing.
