Israeli mid-century modern brass and enamel ashtray/trinket dish. The stylized gold script spelling out "Shalom" serves as a decorative handle. These boat-shaped atomic or boomerang brass pieces were highly popular mid-century souvenirs produced in Israel during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. It features a heavily textured, dark-enameled interior bowl framed by solid polished brass. The border is inlaid with distinctive multicolored geometric enamel accents.
