The mark "W.B. Mfg. Co." stands for Weidling Bros. Manufacturing Company, a Bridgeport, CT company known for high-quality, ornate silver-plated items from the early 20th century (around the 1920s)

Founded in 1901 by brothers Louis, Frank, and William Weidlich, the company was known for its silver-plated and electro-plated items like jewelry cases, salt and pepper shakers, candlesticks, cigarette lighters, trophies, and tableware. Louis Weidlich and Alfred J. Flauder were the primary designers and held many design patents.
Louis W. Weidlich died in 1950 and the company was auctioned off.
